About Me

Hi! I’m Claire Sharp, founder of ClaireyBakes. Honestly, I have to pinch myself sometimes, because I am living way beyond my wildest dreams!

After going to college, getting married, and working in government contracts while raising 4 (!) kids, I found myself searching to for the new “me”. I have always had an enormous love of baking. So, in 2019, I decided to learn how to decorate sugar cookies. I posted a few pictures of my work and was soon contacted by several friends who asked if they could order some cookies from me. One thing led to another and the rest is history!

I leaned into baking and focused on creating custom decorated sugar cookies. Today, I bake and sell a wide range of bakery items including cakes, macarons, giant cookies and more. I consider myself an “eternal learner” and I’m continually taking classes and courses to refine my skills.

I believe in pretty sweets, but even more so, believe in making DELICIOUS sweets and delivering them with love and kindness. Honestly? I just want to be happy and spread my happiness to others. My favorite quote is “If you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine”.  I hope that I can be the sunshine in someone’s life every day.
