Cookie lady, apron designer, wife, mom, and a big believer that the kitchen is where some of the best memories are made.

I grew up in Athens, Alabama, went to college, and spent years working in government contracting. After getting married and having kids, I knew I wanted to be home with them, but I also wanted something of my own. Like so many moms, I was searching for a little purpose beyond the day-to-day.

In 2019, after the heartbreaking loss of my brother, I found my way back to something I'd always loved: baking. It quickly became my therapy and my creative outlet, and what started as a way to heal quietly grew into something I never saw coming. Clairey Bakes was born — a business full of joy, community, and connection, one gourmet cookie at a time.

Over the past several years, this little dream has grown in the sweetest ways. What began with custom cookies for friends and neighbors has blossomed into a brand I'm endlessly proud of: a lineup of gourmet flavors baked from scratch (right down to the eggs from my own backyard hens!), hands-on decorating classes taught from my home studio, and a community of over 100,000 of you cheering me on. In 2025, I added aprons to the mix — beautiful, handmade aprons designed to bring fun and nostalgia back into the kitchen.

And 2026 has been the biggest leap yet. I'm so excited to finally be sharing Clairey Bakes with the whole country, because soon, we'll be shipping our Box of Sunshine nationwide. Whether you've been here since the very first batch or you just found us today, I can't wait to send a little joy straight to your door.
